Why try Pilates? Improved core strength, improved posture, reduced risk of injuries, the benefits are endless! During Pilates we work on building up your strength through core exercises whilst stretching and toning your body. If you’ve been looking for a new workout routine that can give you a good balance of flexibility, strength, muscle tone and help for a few aches and pains, Pilates may be the answer. This course is suitable for all age groups. While athletes and dancers are especially vulnerable to repetitive motion injuries, they happen to all of us occasionally. That’s why Pilates can benefit a much wider range of people as well as help you heal from injuries. What links Yoga and Pilates is breath work, so this is also a focus during Pilates, leaving you feeling calmer too. During the classes I will offer each movement at beginners level, explaining which muscles we are activating and targeting, while you move in time with your breath. I will demonstrate how each move can progress to become more challenging over time and offer adjustments and/or variations where needed. These classes are not only suitable for complete beginners, but experienced Pilates students who may wish to go back to basics. Please ensure that you arrive 5 minutes prior to class and bring your mat
