Autumn grounding: Yin Yoga and Nidra
Autumn grounding: Yin Yoga, Nidra and breathwork (Pranayama)
Service Description
Join me at the warm and cosy Kings Hall for this Autumn grounding candelit workshop, to leave you feeling calm and peaceful. Autumn is a time of change, letting go of the old to make way for the new. With each breath we can exhale anything that no longer serves us, preparing our bodies and minds for the season ahead. Following our breath work (Pranayama) the class will consist of some soft Yin Yoga stretches before we recline on our mats. Wrap up in a cosy blanket to enjoy a relaxing guided meditation Nidra to complete the experience. Yoga Nidra is a form of meditation where you don't need to move, just lie back and relax on your mat as the mind and body are led into a state of deepening rest. One Nidra session can provide the equivalent of up to 2-4 hours of sleep. Our brain waves and heart rate slow down, our blood pressure lowers, our dopamine levels increase, our autonomic nervous system calms, leaving you feeling blissfully relaxed. Pranayama is the practice of breath regulation. It’s a main component of yoga, an exercise for physical and mental wellness. In Sanskrit, “prana” means life energy and “yama” means control. The practice of pranayama involves breathing exercises and patterns. You purposely inhale, exhale, and hold your breath in a specific sequence. Please bring your mat and a blanket, arrive 5 minutes prior to class and ensure that your mobile phone is switched off. *** Can be booked with one off payment or by booking TWICE, use TWO of your class passes to book if preferred *** Please note, all workshop bookings are non refundable up to 5 days prior to session
